Defending A Woman’s Right To Choose

Catherine has been a fierce leader in the fight for reproductive freedom, earning a 100% score in National Abortion Rights Action League’s (NARAL) Congressional Record on Choice every year she has served in the Senate. In the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, she has vowed to protect women’s access to a full range of health care services in Nevada and across the country.

She has helped lead the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would enshrine Roe protections into federal law and guarantee equal access to abortion in every corner of the nation, and she has championed legislation to protect a woman’s right to travel to a different state to access the care they need.

Catherine was a vocal opponent of far-right extremists’ efforts to limit access to family planning and reproductive health care. She worked to block federal court nominees whose records showed they would roll back women’s health care and reproductive freedoms. She will vote against Mitch McConnell’s and far-right Republicans’ national abortion ban.
